Discord how to set up a music bot2 min read

Discord is a chat app designed for gamers that lets you easily voice chat, share photos and videos, and join channels with your friends. You can also use Discord to control a music bot. Here’s how to set up a music bot on Discord.

First, create a new server on Discord and invite your friends. Then, click the plus button in the bottom left corner of the server window and select "Add Channel."

Enter a name for the channel and click "Create Channel."

Now, click the plus button in the bottom left corner of the channel window and select "Add Bot."

Enter the name of the bot and click "Add Bot."

The bot will be added to the channel and will automatically join any new channels that are created.

To configure the bot, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the bot window and select "Music."

The music settings window will open.

The "Enable Music" checkbox must be checked to enable the bot.

You can choose the default music player in the "Player" dropdown menu.

The "Play Mode" dropdown menu lets you choose how the bot will play music.

The "Queue Mode" dropdown menu lets you choose how the bot will queue songs.

The "Start on Connect" checkbox will start the music bot when you connect to the server.

The "Keep Playing" checkbox will keep the music playing when you leave the channel.

The "Buffer Length" setting determines how long the bot will buffer songs.

The "Volume" setting determines the volume of the bot.

The "Mute" setting will mute the bot.

The "Join When Idle" setting will join the bot to the channel when you’re idle.

The "Repeat" setting will repeat the song.

The "Shuffle" setting will shuffle the songs.

The "Playlist" setting lets you choose a playlist to play.

The "Bot Name" setting lets you choose a name for the bot.

The "Bot Icon" setting lets you choose an icon for the bot.

The "Bot Description" setting lets you enter a description for the bot.

When you’re done configuring the bot, click "Save."

To use the bot, type the following command in the chat:

!play 

For example, !play party would play the party playlist.

The bot will start playing the songs in the playlist.

To stop the bot, type the following command:

!stop

To pause the bot, type the following command:

!pause

To resume the bot, type the following command:

!resume
