How to clean out airpods for better sound1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minutesA lot of people these days are using AirPods, and for good reason. They’re small, easy to use, and have great sound quality. However, over time, they can start to sound a bit muffled. This is because earwax and other debris can start to build up in the earphone openings, blocking the sound.
Luckily, there’s an easy way to clean out your AirPods and get them sounding like new again. Here’s how:
1. Disconnect the AirPods from your device.
2. Turn them over and locate the small holes on the back of each earphone.
3. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush or cotton swab to gently clean the openings.
4. Be careful not to push any wax or debris further into the earphone.
5. Repeat on the other side.
6. Reconnect the AirPods to your device and test them out.
You should now find that they’re sounding a lot clearer. If you find that the problem persists, you may need to take them to an Apple Genius for further cleaning.
