The first step is to determine whether or not the issue is with your computer or with Minecraft. To do this, try playing another game or listening to music on your computer. If the issue persists, the problem is with Minecraft. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with your computer. 

The next step is to determine if the issue is with your microphone or your speakers. To do this, try plugging in headphones. If you can hear sound through the headphones, the problem is with your speakers. If you cannot hear sound through the headphones, the problem is with your microphone. 

If the issue is with your microphone, the solution is to adjust the microphone settings. On Windows, this can be done by clicking on the Start menu and selecting Control Panel. Once the Control Panel has opened, click on Hardware and Sound and then select Sound. On the Sound window, click on the Recording tab and locate the microphone. If the microphone is not set to 100%, adjust it to 100%. If the microphone is still not picking up sound, try disabling any software that may be interfering with the microphone, such as antivirus software. 

If the issue is with your speakers, the solution is to adjust the sound settings on your computer. On Windows, this can be done by clicking on the Start menu and selecting Control Panel. Once the Control Panel has opened, click on Hardware and Sound and then select Sound. On the Sound window, click on the Playback tab and locate the speakers. If the volume is not set to 100%, adjust it to 100%. If the sound is still not loud enough, try increasing the system volume.
