There may be times when you want your iPhone to flash when it rings. Maybe you’re in a meeting and you don’t want to miss a call, or you’re in a dark movie theater and you want to know who’s calling. You can make your iPhone flash when it rings by adjusting the settings on your phone.

To make your iPhone flash when it rings, open the Settings app and tap on Sounds. Scroll down to the Ringer and Alerts section and tap on the Flash LED for Calls setting. You can either toggle it on or off, or set it to Always Flash to ensure that your iPhone flashes whenever it rings.

If you have an iPhone 6s or later, you can also use the Raise to Wake feature to make your iPhone flash when it rings. With Raise to Wake enabled, your iPhone will turn on and flash when you lift it up, so you can see who’s calling without having to touch your phone.

To enable Raise to Wake on your iPhone, open the Settings app and tap on Display & Brightness. Scroll down to the Raise to Wake setting and toggle it on.
