There are a few ways to shut off the sound in Facebook. One way is to click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Mute." This will mute all sound from Facebook until you unmute it.

You can also mute individual posts by clicking on the downward-facing arrow in the top-right corner of the post and selecting "Mute." This will mute the post’s sound for you, but other people will still be able to hear it.

If you want to mute all sound from Facebook on your computer, you can do so in your browser’s settings. In Chrome, open the Settings menu and select "Show advanced settings." Under the "Privacy" heading, select "Content settings." Under the "Media" heading, find the "Mute audio playback" option and select "On."

In Firefox, open the Preferences window and select the "Content" tab. Under the "Audio" subheading, find the "Mute audio playback" option and select "Always."

In Safari, open the Preferences window and select the "Advanced" tab. Under the "Web Audio" subheading, find the "Mute Audio" option and select "On."

In Microsoft Edge, open the Settings menu and select "System." Under the "Sound" heading, find the "Mute audio" option and select "On."

Finally, on mobile devices, you can mute Facebook’s sound by opening the app’s settings and selecting "Sound." Under the "Mute Facebook" heading, find the "Sound" option and toggle it to "On."
