There may be times when you don’t want to hear the sound notifications from Facebook. Whether you’re in a meeting, trying to focus on a task, or simply don’t want to be disturbed, it’s easy to turn the sound off.

To mute the sound on Facebook, follow these steps:

Click the Menu icon in the top-right corner of the Facebook screen.

Select Settings from the menu.

Click on the Sounds tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

Toggle the Mute Facebook Sounds switch to the off position.

The sound notifications from Facebook will now be turned off.
