The Who’s Roger Daltrey recently made a statement in the press that the band feels the need to change their music in order to stay relevant. This has sparked a lot of discussion among music fans, with some agreeing that the band does need to change and others asserting that they should stick to their guns and continue to play the same style of music that has made them so successful.

Personally, I think that The Who should absolutely change their sound. They’ve been playing the same music for over 50 years at this point, and that’s bound to get a bit stale. It’s important for bands to keep evolving and changing their style in order to stay interesting and relevant, and I think that The Who would be wise to do the same.

That said, I don’t think that they should completely overhaul their sound. They’ve had a lot of success with their classic rock sound, so I think it would be a mistake to abandon that altogether. Instead, they should try to add some new elements to their music, keeping the same core sound that has made them so popular.

Whatever the case, I think it’s clear that The Who need to make a change soon. Their current sound is starting to become dated, and they risk becoming irrelevant if they don’t do something soon. I’m excited to see what new direction they take with their music, and I think that fans of the band will be too.
